Our classes Beginners Life Skills classes are open to dogs of any age, as long as they are able to cope with a class environment. They are open enrollment which means you can start as soon as you want  No waiting for a course to start; each class covers a specific real world topic, so you can learn how to work with your dog in situations you face on a daily basis. It doesn’t matter when you start or what order you do the classes – each class is designed specifically to support you and your dog to learn what you need.
our focus is on teaching life skills – such as self control, being calm, being able to listen and having good manners – rather than basic obedience, although you will still finish the course with a good sit / down / recall etc and the knowledge to progress them further if you wish.
OVER 6 WEEKS YOU WILL COVER:
Going to the Park
Dinner Time: Dogs and Humans
Visiting the Vets/ grooming
Friends for Coffee
Going to the Pub / Cafe
Brain Games & Being a Dog

Dog Sports - Employ your dog

Mental and physical enrichment is necessary for dogs to be happy and healthy.  Giving them appropriate ways to be a dog and benefit from these behaviors rather then fight them - scenting lost items, working at distance with an agility course,  being able to recall mid play
Training has been shown to be the single most important thing that keeps a dog in his or her “forever” home.
Training builds your mutual bond, enhances the partnership and enriches the relationship you share with your dog. Is there anything better?
Agility is a great sport - our classes are fun, supportive with a friendly atmosphere.  The classes are run with 4 consecutive weeks rolling so you can join as soon as we have availability.  Dogs need to be comfortable around other dogs and people (or see 1-2-1 agility).  No prior training is needed (our obedience classes are a nice prerequisite as this gives you the foundation skills needed to help you and your dog)

Our focus is on teaching life skills – such as self control, being calm, being able to listen and having good manners –This will build a life long relationship built on trust and of course you and your dog will learn how to navigate the agility field including 12 obstacles, from jumps and tunnels to seesaws

Scent work - employing your dog's incredible sense of smell - our classes are fun, supportive with a friendly atmosphere.  The classes are run in  6 weeks  blocks.  Dogs need to be comfortable around other dogs and people (or see 1-2-1 scent).  No prior training is needed (Life skills is a nice prerequisite as this gives you the foundation skills to training your dog)

We teach an active search (bringing the lost item back) and a passive search (showing us clearly where the item is. We use these skills to build a really strong relationship between you and your dog - it's teamwork.  We also build self control, being calm, being able to listen and having good manners. This will build a life long relationship built on trust.
