My Dog’s Club – Terms & Conditions

By booking, attending, or purchasing any service with My Dog’s Club you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

 

1. General Terms (applies to all services)

  • Payment: All services must be paid in full at booking (unless a payment plan is agreed). Fees are non-refundable.
     

  • Trainer Cancellations: If we need to cancel, as much notice as possible will be given, and an alternative time will be offered.
     

  • Client Responsibility:

    • You must provide all necessary items for training (leads, harnesses, training treats food, water, etc.).

    • Clients must work with us to book in sessions within the stated timeframes and allow plenty of time on the day around appointments.

 

  • Dogs and puppies must be fit, healthy, and up to date with vaccinations/flea/worm treatments. Please let us know immediately if your dog falls unwell and do not bring them to class. If your dog shows signs of being unwell during a class we will ask you to take them home.

 

  • Training Equipment: We require harnesses, fixed collars and fixed leads for your dogs. No slip leads, choke chains, prong collars, or flexi leads. Clients using these will be asked to change equipment. Your trainer can advise you if unsure.
     

  • Commitment to Training: To get the best from your programme we ask that you remain committed throughout. This includes providing feedback between sessions and sharing videos or diary updates where requested. If updates or agreed work are not completed your next session may be postponed. In rare cases where a client becomes disruptive or uncooperative, remaining sessions will be terminated and no refunds issued.
     

  • Welfare & Safety: We use only positive, ethical, science-based methods. We may stop or adapt a session if there is a risk to safety or welfare.
     

  • Liability: My Dog’s Club accepts no responsibility for injury, illness, loss, or damage to people, dogs, or property.
     

  • Behaviour Concerns: Dogs attending group classes must be sociable with people and dogs. If behaviour concerns arise we will recommend a more suitable service on a one-to-one basis instead. No refunds are given for unused sessions.
     

 

2. Group Classes (e.g. Puppy Classes, Scent Intro, Behaviour Club Intro)

  • Course fees are due in full at booking.

  • Courses run in consecutive weeks. Missed or incomplete sessions cannot be refunded, replaced, or carried forward.

  • If you cannot attend a session you may send a family member/friend in your place. Ideally, this person should attend at least one session with you.

  • Puppies for Puppy Classes must be aged between 8–26 weeks at the start of the course.

  • Sessions cannot be refunded or transferred in the case of rehome.

 

3. Training & Behaviour 121 Programmes

  • Cancellations & Rescheduling:
     

    • More than 7 days’ notice – we will try to reschedule where possible.

    • 7 days–24 hours’ notice – rescheduling is at the trainer’s discretion.

    • Less than 24 hours’ notice – the session is forfeited and charged in full.

 

  • Programme Validity: Silver Programmes must be used within 2 months of purchase; Gold Programmes within 3 months.

  • Clients must remain engaged with the programme and provide updates when requested (refer to General Terms)

  • Paraprofessional Liasing: Veterinary referral may be required before or during your programme.
     

 

4. Memberships (monthly subscription)

  • Credits are valid only within the billing period and are non-transferable.

  • Membership is ongoing until cancelled. One full payment month’s notice is required to cancel.

  • Failed payments (e.g. card expiry) will still be owed. Membership remains active until cancelled. Failed payments must be resolved promptly.
     

 

5. Credit-Based Programmes (Intro, Fundamental, VIP)

  • Credits must be used within the timeframes:
     

    • Intro (8 credits) – 2 months

    • Fundamental (16 credits) – 3 months

    • VIP (24 credits) – 4 months

 

  • Sessions must be booked ahead via the online booking system using your unique code. Booking closes 48hrs before the class start time.

  • Some courses (e.g. Scent Intro, Behaviour Club Intro) run as consecutive 4- or 8-week blocks. Missed classes cannot be replaced (please see Term 2)

  • Unused credits cannot be carried forward or refunded. 

  • If we cancel due to illness or extreme weather an alternative date will be provided.
     

 

6. Payment Plans

  • Payments are taken monthly via direct debit from the date the plan is set up.

  • Payment plans cover the cost of the full programme and are not linked to individual sessions.

  • The full balance remains payable even if you miss sessions or choose not to continue.

  • Failed payments must be resolved promptly. Sessions may be paused until resolved.

  • Late or repeated failed payments may result in termination of your plan with the balance immediately due.

  • No refunds are issued for incomplete programmes or missed sessions.
